WIP palette knife painting, Looking to the mountain

This is a 5 x 7 oil painting done working in plein air, looking toward the mountain on which I live.
Being a work in progress at this time because my time lately has been taken up with having cataract surgery. It is so interesting how clear things are these days.....someone asked if my painting style would change. I replied that I didn't think so. My style has been like this for as long as I have been painting.
And so .....I will be back at those brushes and paints very soon.

I love the colours in this piece. THe blues and greens are so relaxing.

Using a knife to paint frees up thinking and lets you concentrate on shapes and values.

I'm glad the cataract surgery went well and you continue to improve.

Jeanette,
These are beautiful. I love what you did with the texture using the palette knife. How glorious to live on top of a mountain.
