DSFDF challenge, Ladies in the Wig Shop Window
The Different Strokes Challenge posted by Karin Jurick for the next two weeks is to paint your interpretation of a photograph she posted on the different strokes blog. The photograph is of a wig shop window and there are these wigs on mannequins. It is an interesting concept. You can see all of the work that is submitted by clicking on the link in my sidebar as they are posted by Karin. Karin gave March 4 as the deadline to submit and posts will be up after that time or before.
I was inspired to do them in watercolor on Yupo paper. The size is 10" x 12"

New oil painting, landscape, Welsh Hills, Sheep
I just "stumbled" upon an article written on EmptyEasel.com by "Dan" in August, 2007. Yes, I just found it. I read it quickly and saw that some important information was given about labeling your posts so that Google and other search engines would increase traffic to your artwork. So, maybe I can come up with a more wordy title(?) I am not sure but thought that this could be helpful information for others like me who are new to blogging.

Red Tulips
Last fall we planted some tulip bulbs and as the days were warm lately, I wondered if they would try to start pushing through the straw. Not yet.
However, here are some that I painted from memory and anticipation.

San Antonio Mission
I have photographs we made while visiting the San Antonio Mission Trail. I have done some in watercolor and now wanted to do something in oil. So here is the one that I said was on the easel this week and in the process of drying. It is now signed.
Wishing you a warm and relaxing weekend.
