Monday, February 21, 2011

Performance exhaust specialist Eisenmann has unveiled their new tuning program for the Audi R8.

Dubbed the Spark Eight, the car features an aerodynamic carbon fiber body kit with a revised grille (€7800), a front splitter (€1800), a rear spoiler (€4800), and a rear diffuser (€3800). If those accessories haven't drained your bank account, you can add 19-inch alloy wheels for €7300.

Out back, customers can order a center-mounted single exhaust (€4600), a four tailpipe exhaust (€3800) or an R8 V10-inspired dual exhaust (€1000).

While the standard car isn't a slouch in the handling department, Eisenmann also offers new shock absorbers and performance springs (€3850).

500C Abarth by Romeo Ferraris

Romeo Ferraris has tuned this 500C Abarth to commemorate its own 52nd anniversary.

The Abarth 500C Anniversario features a performance upgrade that dials power up to 203 PS (149 kW / 200 bhp) from the series' 140 PS (103 kW / 138 bhp). The power boosts comes courtesy of an ECU-remap, a new turbine, a sport air filter and a sport exhaust.

Also added are performance (Brembo) brakes, a suspension kit and a mechanical limited-slip differential.

But what stands out here is the two-tone chrome finish to the outside of the 500C Abarth in a silver and red scheme.

On the inside too is red chrome trim complimented by a black leather finish with diamond stitching.

The whole package rides on 8 x 17-inch rims by Romeo Ferraris.

Porsche Carrera GT Stage II by Kubatech

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

German tuner Kubatech has a Stage II tuning package for the currently discontinued Porsche Carrera GT.

Kubatech refers to itself as an engine software specialist and it is mainly through an ECU optimization that it dials up the power on the Carrera GT's 5.7 liter V10 engine from a standard 612 PS (450 kW) to 660 PS (485 kW). Torque also gets a bump to 642 Nm from the series' 590 Nm.

Also added is a Cargraphic sport exhaust system made of high-grade steel that makes for upgraded numbers on the Carrera GT. The Stage II's top speed is now 343 km/h (213 mph), compared to the previous 330 km/h (205 mph), and the 0 to 100 km/h sprint time is improved but Kubatech does not specify by how much.

Stage II tuning of the Porsche Carrera GT by Kubatech comes at an all-included cost of €10,699.
