Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG Spyridon by Hamann

Friday, April 18, 2014

The latest Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG has received new looks and a power boost from Hamann for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
The new hood is made from carbon fiber and weighs only 6.5 kg (14.3 lbs) while the mirror housings are also made from this lightweight material. Other changes include different rear apron with built-in diffuser, rear spoiler, side skirts with LEDs which light up the triple tailpipes sitting on both sides of the car. Hamann says the end pipes were anodized in a golden color and milled from a solid block of aluminum.
Hiding under the black carbon bonnet is the familiar V12 6.0-liter bi-turbo engine which in its standard form is good for 612 HP (450 kW) and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm). By installing a custom exhaust system and making other changes, Hamann was able to increase its output to 702 HP (516 kW) and 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm).
The cabin has decorative stitching on the seats and instrument panel, aluminum sport pedals, gold-colored leather door panels, brushed stainless steel door sill trims and custom floor mats featuring black-threaded pearl velour.
