1993 Bugatti EB110 SS by Brabus

Saturday, May 17, 2014

Specialty British dealership Oakfields is selling an ultra-rare Bugatti EB110 Super Sport modified by Brabus for 475,000 GBP (about 740,000 USD / 560,000 EUR). The German aftermarket specialist modified two EB110s but only this one was the lighter and more powerful SS version. Produced in 1993, the vehicle has been fitted with a custom quad exhaust system, blue leather seats and a blue & black leather dashboard.
As a reminder, Bugatti built only 31 units of the SS and all came with a mid-mounted V12 3.5-liter quad-turbo engine outputting 615 bhp (458 kW) mated to a six-speed manual transmission sending those ponies to all four wheels. Lighter than the stock model by about 150 kg (330 lbs), the SS hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds and a maximum speed of 216 mph (348 km/h).

Ford Taurus SHO by Hennessey Performance

The owner of a 2013MY Ford Taurus SHO asked Hennessey Performance to install the MaxBoost445 Performance Upgrade. Power comes from the same 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine but instead of the stock 365 bhp (272 kW) output it now churns 445 bhp (332 kW). It helps the Taurus SHO perform the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in 4.3 seconds and the quarter mile in 12.8 seconds at 109 mph (175 km/h).
The increased output was possible by installing a stainless steel cat-back exhaust system, dual cold-air induction system and also by remapping the engine's ECU. Other modifications include serialized dash and engine plaques, "445 Boost" and "Hennessey" badges, along with embroidered headrests. The tuning kit is offered with a one-year / 12,000-mile limited warranty.

Renault Duster by DC Design

Saturday, May 10, 2014

The Renault Duster (aka Dacia Duster) has received a significant overhaul from DC Design. It costs 3.49 lakhs (about 4.940 EUR / 6,400 USD / 4,200 GBP) and completely transforms the looks of the Duster, both inside and out. Up front we notice the bold approach with a trail of LED lights and fog lights. Packing polished side steps, the SUV is wearing a matte black paint and rides on DC's own alloys.
More important changes can be found inside where we see artificial leather, faux wood and a multimedia infotainment system with tilting screens for those sitting in the back. The Duster's center console has been extended to the rear seats which has basically transformed the vehicle into a four seater. Those rear seats are 6-way adjustable, while the left one can be transformed into a bed once the front left seat is folded.

BMW M5 by Switzer Performance

Switzer Performance has launched an upgrade kit for the BMW M5 (F10) available for 6,995 USD. The tuner has taken a break from its aftermarket programs for the Nissan GT-R and various Porsche models to focus on the German high-performance sedan. The car's soundtrack has been improved thanks to a new high-performance, stainless steel exhaust system.
It also features high-flow drop-in air filters and a removable engine control module working together with the stock systems for a higher boost from the engine's twin turbos. While the standard BMW M5's V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo produces 560 HP (412 kW) and 502 lb-ft (680 Nm), the version modified by Switzer churns 700 HP (515 kW) and 640 lb-ft (867 Nm).

Fisker Karma by Ultimate Auto

Orlando-based aftermarket specialist Ultimate Auto has decided to give the Fisker Karma a minor makeover. It has been a while since we last talked about Fisker without referring to its imminent closure. Ultimate Auto's most significant change has to do with those huge 24-inch Forgiato alloy wheels which have been body-colored. There's also a matte & brushed 3M stripe, smoked lights, LLumar Ceramic tint and a matching painted trim.
Chances of seeing a modified Fisker Karma are quite rare since the American EV manufacturer has stopped production back in November last year, while the possibility of resuming it is virtually zero. That's because Fisker has announced a massive 75 percent layoff which means they are on the brink of demise.
